Hi All,

We posted SplashID 4.11 today:

Release Notes:

Desktop:
- Sorting under tree branches is fixed
- Search options added to the Options dialog - now you can select to search
in Field 1 or All fields
- Default backup path corrected to My Documents\SplashData\SplashID\Backup\
- Custom icons displayed in Tree and List Views
- Other bug fixes

Handheld:
- Fixed numeric keypad issue on Centro
- Lookup Fields preferences added to Prefs menu - now you can speed up your
searching by only searching on a single field

Please let us know if you have any problems.

I just downloaded this update, however, during the install, it stated it encountered a problem and it shows (-515). It continued with the install. When it was complete, I tried to open the SplashID Desktop has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi Martha,

Perhaps you got a faulty download. Please delete that installer and download
a fresh one:

http://www.splashdata.com/Downloads/SplashIDInstaller.exe

Tried the new one and I receive the same message. There was an error installing C:/Program Files/SplashData/SplashID/SplashID.prc prc (-515).

Should I delete SplashID totally from my system and then do a re-install?

Hi Martha,

That is strange. I tested it and the PRC installed fine. I would just
manually install the PRC separately if the desktop installs ok:

http://www.splashdata.com/mobile/download/SplashID.prc

Is anyone else having this issue?

I have not even tried to install on my Palm because I can't get the desktop to work. I have to have something that works. When I try to open the desktop SplashID is when I incounter the error that states it must close.

I have deleted/removed SplashID from my computer. I have re-ran the install file and before completing the install I receive the same message as below. When the install completes I click ok. I did not hotsync. When I try to open the desktop, I get that windows error that states there has been an error and the program will close.

What can I do to make this work?

I have stopped my antivirus program and re-installed SplashID. Same problem. Desktop will not open.

Any other ideas?

Have you turned off all other apps in memory? i.e. anything in the
toolbar, then bring up TaskManager, via Control Alt Del concurrent
press & end any process that is listed as Owner & then try to
re-install...
