When selecting icons on the Mac desktop version of Splash ID, I
noticed that in addition to the standard icons that come with Splash
ID, there about 120 additional icons that were installed on my PDA.
The only problem is they are random ones, and I was wondering if
there's a way to place specific ones there. Otherwise, how is it
that the icons are added, date installed, filename of icon set, ???.
I could rearrange the order of the icons or rename a set so I could
more relevant ones.

Thanks,
Grant

Hi Grant

This feature was requested by power users, who already use products like
Icon Manager.

1. You need to first download the free Icon Manager:

http://palmgear.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=software.showsoftware&prodID=47054

2. Now, any additional icons you have on your palm will be included in the
SplashID picker, so the HandyShopper icons that come with Icon Manager will
be added.

3. I find the easiest thing to do is just open the Handy shopper icons and
delete any you don't want, and then add new ones to that. You have to
create them on the handheld in Icon Manager. Then save the set, and voila,
it's in SplashID and gets transferred to the desktop application on HotSync.

SplashID will append the default icon set to its own built-in set, unless
you create a set called SplashDataIcons, which it will use instead of the
default set.

Boy am I glad I asked! I downloaded IconManager, cropped an image of
my kid's face in Photoshop, reduced image size to 20x18 and saved as
BMP. IconManager pulled it in with no problems and it looks great on
the Palm! Personalized icons in Agendus for birthday's, etc...

Thanks again!
